Questions & Answers

Straight answers to the questions facility managers, owners and procurement teams ask us most often.

Yes. Site walks and written proposals for commercial and industrial work are provided at no charge and with no obligation. For diagnostic service calls where the problem must be found before it can be priced, a standard hourly service rate applies and is quoted to you before we dispatch.

Clients on a maintenance agreement have 24/7 coverage with an average on-site response of about four hours in our core Lansing service area. Non-contract emergency calls are handled as capacity allows, usually the same or next business day.

Yes. Praman Power LLC operates as a licensed electrical contractor in Michigan and carries general liability, commercial auto and workers' compensation coverage. Certificates of insurance naming your entity as additional insured are issued on request, normally within one business day.

In almost all cases we pull the permits and coordinate inspections with the authority having jurisdiction. The proposal states clearly who is responsible for permits and whether permit fees are included in the price.

Yes, and a large share of our project work happens outside normal hours. Premium-time labor is priced transparently in the proposal so you can compare a weekend cutover against the cost of daytime downtime.

Our standard workmanship warranty is twelve months from substantial completion. Manufacturer warranties on equipment are passed through in full, and we handle the warranty claim process on your behalf for gear we supplied.

Our focus is commercial, industrial and multifamily property work. We take limited residential projects — typically service upgrades, generator installations or EV chargers — when scheduling allows. Call and ask; we will give you a straight answer.

Project work is quoted as a fixed price against a defined scope. Service and troubleshooting work is billed hourly at rates disclosed before dispatch, plus materials. Change orders are priced and approved in writing before the additional work is performed.

Check, ACH transfer and all major credit cards. Established commercial clients can be set up on net terms. Larger projects are billed progressively against agreed milestones.

Yes, and it is a common request. We start with a condition assessment so both sides know what we are inheriting, then propose a maintenance scope based on what we actually found rather than a generic checklist.

Yes. We perform short-circuit and coordination studies, produce the arc-flash hazard analysis and apply compliant equipment labels. This is frequently bundled with a distribution upgrade or an annual maintenance program.
